A dear friend and I were having a conversation this summer about the things in our life that we can not control. We referred to them as the variables in our life. We decided after having this conversation that we would try to make the very best out of those variables.
See let me explain.... She and I both have very rightous desires. Mine is that I want a baby! I want to be in the "Mom Club". Morgan and I have been trying to have a baby for almost three years. Well lately I have especially felt the Lords hand in my life. No, I am not pregnant. He has helped me to take a step back and realize how great my life is at this moment. I know one day I will be surrounded with a new life and I can picture it in my head!
I am home with my kids who have been going non-stop. I have food in my hair from feeding the baby and I am still in my PJ's. It is close to 5 and Morgan walks in the door and asks, "What is for dinner?" I then see myself looking for the closest thing I can find to throw at him. And then I imagine I will start to remember what my life was like when I wished every day to be a Mom. I will remember what it was like to go out to dinner as much as we would like. I will remember our shopping trips to the Gateway that never included going to stores like The Childrens Place or Gymboree. I will remember making big purchases with out a bat of the eye. And last but not least I will not have to remember when the last time I had a shower without someone knocking on the door or going to the bathroom without having a child stick there fingers under the door to let me know that they are waiting for me.
Even though I am so excited for when that dream is actually a reality. I am also patient and so grateful for the life that I am living now!
I dedicate this blog to my dear friend Amy who helps me get through the days when I would rather have cereal in my hair then anything else. I Love You Amy...And Here's to the Variables we can't control!

I'm guessing this will be very random that I commented on your blog. But you are doing a great job being a blogger! This entry was really touching- Thanks for sharing it.
By the way, you and Morgan are an adorable couple. :)
Jenni Nickels
That was a great blog Brittney. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It's good to hear how your testimony has grown through the things we can't control. Thank you!
You are awesome! Trust me, your dream is a little too close to reality...it made me laugh. You left out the part about being out in public and noticing that someone wiped a big ole' slimy booger on your pants. True story! Someday you will have that though and you will be able to appreciate it more than most of us, probably, because of your experiences.
Britt - I agree... This was a good blog! It will happen at just the right time.. Love you sister!!
Hey Britt-
I just wanted to let you know my heart goes out to you. I know people keep telling you it will happen when the time is right, and it's true, but it defiently doesn't make it any easier. My prayers are with you, and if you ever want to borrow Tyler you can!
Love ya, Megan
Hey! I noticed your link on Danielle's blog. Hope you don't mind me stalking you. :) Ya know, if you ever want to chat about these "variables" I'd love to be a listening ear.
Are you going to call me or what?!
