Until we meet again!!

I have been trying to think of what I could say that could possibly even touch on the feelings I have for our Beloved Prophet! When my cousin Brad let me know that he had passed away on Sunday...I was kind of shocked! And then felt such a feeling of peace! I am so happy that he is once again with his sweetheart, imagine that embrace!
I remember a time when Pres. Hinckley was addressing us during conference. He had finished his talk, said Amen and went to walk away when he turned and said back to us, "I want you all to know that I love you very much." To me it was like the Lord stepped out and he stepped in and wanted to say his little part! My testimony was strengthened that day, to know that he was a true prophet!
I will honor him by teaching my primary children, my future children and all I can about what he has taught me! President Hinckely was a man who believed in our Savior and this work! He faced the world as a Representative of the Book of Mormon and he did it with such charm. No matter what faith you were, you can't help but to just love him! The Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints is the true church on this earth and President Gordon B. Hinckley is a true prophet!!

Our Love Story

After writing my last blog all about my husband it has made me think a lot about how we came together. I want to share that with anyone who cares to read about us!
Morgan and I met when we were Sophmores in High School! When I really started to get to know Morgan was our Junior year. I was asked to homecoming by Beau Andersen. Morgan and Beau were best friends. I remember thinking to myself that I felt sorry for Morgan's date because he was not talking to her. Well there was Beau, Eric and Morgan. We became this group! Our senior year there lockers were right across from mine. I stopped to talk to them every morning. Everyday trying to convince them to skip a class and go to lunch or breakfast. Not one time did I succeed! Anyway...Graduated and its time for Beau and Eric to go on missions! At that time Morgan was a friend but I was a lot closer to Beau and Eric. They both left like 2 weeks apart from each other. Morgan was then stuck with me! That is when it began! Morgan and I did everything together. We would argue like a married couple and say to each other that we needed a two week break from each other. Then the next day one of us would call to do something! Morgan lived at my house and became very close to my family! Morgan always came to my family dinners. My Aunt Joleen once asked Morgan, "Morgan, when Beau comes home from his mission and wants to come to dinner what are we going to do?" Really meaning what are you going to do? Morgan replied, "I guess you will have to set another place." He knew he wasn't going anywhere.
Fast forward and Beau and Eric return from there missions. Morgan and I remain friends but I distance myself from Beau and Eric. Well it had been a year since we had all kind of settled into doing our own thing. This was the summer of '03. Morgan started acting really strange. The bubble that he had ALWAYS had, somehow went away! He was showing up at my work and washing my car and bringing me slurpees! It never dawned on me that he had liked me! I was going on a lot of bad dates. And after every bad date I would call Morgan and tell him all about it.
Well Morgan was showing his affection more and more.
I started to feel very un-settled in my life! Everyone told me to give Morgan a shot but it scared me to much to even think about! One night I decided to pray to my Heavenly Father asking him to help me to be happy! I didn't ask to be married or to even be in a relationship I just wanted peace in my life and to be HAPPY!
The next night I was at a friends and came home to find Morgan waiting for me. Everyone had gone to sleep and I found Morgan sitting on our couch in the dark. I sat on the couch and laid my head on his lap! I then felt so much Content! I know it sounds so cheesy but it was so overwhelming! I looked at Morgan a whole different way after that.
To sum things up the following week we went to St. George, made out on my Grandparents porch....Then were married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 5, 2004!

Morgan James Thompson

I have been tagged to brag about my other half! I am sending this out to all of my friends that have husbands or other halfs who would like to take the opportunity to brag about there husband!
My husbands name is: Morgan James Thompson

How long have you been married? It will be 4 years on August 5th

How long did you date? Well we knew each other for like 7 years before we decided to "date" we then "dated" for 6 months and were engaged for 5 months! I think out all the people I know that read my blog I "dated" my husband the longest! Geeez, if we would have just realized what our fate was earlier.....what the heck took us so long!

How old is he? He just turned 27 on December 16th

Who eats more? I would have to say Morgan does. Except he eats healthier then I do!

Who said I love you first? Morgan did! I was so mad at him and told him I thought we should break up! He then said I couldn't do that to him because of how much he loved me! I then said, You what? So yes he did say it first.

Who is smarter? Well it depends on how you look at it. Morgan is super book smart! He always tells me the most random facts that he has learned from reading CNN.com (Nerd) But I am much more Street Smart! I can pretty much talk my way out of anything!

Whose temper is worse? Morgan for sure has the bigger temper. Anybody who has ridden in the car with him would testify to that! (Danielle and Megan)

Who does the laundry? He would totally say that we both do it...but that would be a big fat lie! Morgan will sometimes put the clothes from the washer into the dryer. He also waits until I am about half way done folding until he says, Do you want me to help you? Men!!

Who does the dishes? We both share that lovely chore!

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Well if your looking at the bed then it is him but if you are actually in the bed then it is Me! I never thought I would have a side of the bed!

Who pays the bills? I don't think we get any bills, ha ha ha! Morgie does all of that! He is very responsible and brings me in the office for Thompson Family Budget meetings whenever he can. Those meeting pretty much consist of him telling me about our money situation while I read my People magazine while laying on the floor!

Who cooks dinner? Lets just say this....From the day I got married my husband has only cooked 2 meals entirely by himself! He is a very good helper though!

Who drives when you are together? Morgan for sure...He is so afraid of me falling asleep! Again Danielle and Megan could testify to that!

Who is more stubborn? We are both very very Stubborn! I am probably more then him though! He always gives in before me!

Whose parents do you see the most? I would have to say mine!

Who proposed? Morgan (Silly Question)

Who has more friends? I think we have probably the same! I would say I keep in touch with more of my friends though! Still there is no one on this earth I would rather spend my day with then Morgie!

Who has more siblings? The same! I have one brother and one sister. Morgan has two brothers. We are both the oldest in our families also!

Who wears the pants in the family? Me... I hate to say it but my husband is the most laid back person so somebody has to run the show!

Morgan James Thompson you are my very best friend! For the last 6 years you have been the person who I can always count on! I love you so much!!

The Variables in our Life!

A dear friend and I were having a conversation this summer about the things in our life that we can not control. We referred to them as the variables in our life. We decided after having this conversation that we would try to make the very best out of those variables.
See let me explain.... She and I both have very rightous desires. Mine is that I want a baby! I want to be in the "Mom Club". Morgan and I have been trying to have a baby for almost three years. Well lately I have especially felt the Lords hand in my life. No, I am not pregnant. He has helped me to take a step back and realize how great my life is at this moment. I know one day I will be surrounded with a new life and I can picture it in my head!
I am home with my kids who have been going non-stop. I have food in my hair from feeding the baby and I am still in my PJ's. It is close to 5 and Morgan walks in the door and asks, "What is for dinner?" I then see myself looking for the closest thing I can find to throw at him. And then I imagine I will start to remember what my life was like when I wished every day to be a Mom. I will remember what it was like to go out to dinner as much as we would like. I will remember our shopping trips to the Gateway that never included going to stores like The Childrens Place or Gymboree. I will remember making big purchases with out a bat of the eye. And last but not least I will not have to remember when the last time I had a shower without someone knocking on the door or going to the bathroom without having a child stick there fingers under the door to let me know that they are waiting for me.
Even though I am so excited for when that dream is actually a reality. I am also patient and so grateful for the life that I am living now!
I dedicate this blog to my dear friend Amy who helps me get through the days when I would rather have cereal in my hair then anything else. I Love You Amy...And Here's to the Variables we can't control!

The Best Uncle Ever!!

Morgan and I have the most adorable, fun, cute, smart nieces in the whole wide world! Rorie is 5 and Peighton is 2 almost 3! We were able to have them sleepover last night...Yea!! There most favorite thing when they come over is to make Morgan look like a girl. And to apply as much make-up as possible! Rorie was in charge of make-up and Peighton was in charge of Hair!

Morgan is such a good sport about it! Even though he clearly does not enjoy it (see above picture for reference) he does it anyway. We love these two girls! It makes not having any of our own seem not so bad!

Well my name is Brittney..I am a first time blogger! I was pressured into this by my good friend Kelly. I really have no idea how to make this blog as cute as many of my friends blogs. They have really cute kids to show off though and I think that really helps your blog appeal. I am going to do the best that I can though. Most of my posts will probably be late at night..like this one. See I have already started...blah...blah...blah!
