HAPPY 25TH BIRTHDAY ZAC AND MEG

Well today we celebrated my Brother Zac and Sister Megan's 25th Birthday! I just wanted to give them a little shout out to wish them a very happy birthday! And Yes...They are twins. You would not believe how many people still ask that. And people still ask if they are identical. Yes my brother looks exactly like my sister! Growing up I was always super jealous on there birthdays because I was the odd man out! But somehow I think I even got a couple of presents. Tonight was no exception. Meg was telling me that our Dad gave them each a 100 bucks! I said no fair! So my Dad whipped out a 100$ bill for me and Morg. What a nice guy!

When my brother and I were growing up we fought a ton! I guess like most siblings. I dont think I was very nice to him! It was hard being the only boy with two sisters. I can always count on my brother to make me laugh. He is someone you want around! He is loved by everyone who knows him. I love you Zac! I am so lucky to have you as my brother.

My Sister Megan is so beautiful! Growing up I was the one she would ask to help her with her hair for a dance. Now she is way better at that stuff then I am. You can always count on Megan for an honest opinion. I like that about her...you always know where you stand with her. What you see is what you get. Megan is very caring and would do anything for the people that she loves. I love you sister!

Living in Sugarhood!

I learned recently that we reside in Sugarhood! We have one foot in Sugarhouse and then another foot in the Hood! I am writing this blog to vent my frustration! I love the neighborhood that we live in, the street, the cute little houses. Especially I love 500 East, that is my favorite street. Especially in the summer because it is like you are driving thru a tunnel of trees! Love!!
Well I love everything around us but.. I HATE OUR APARTMENT!! We live in a pithole! From the outside it looks like such a cute little building! And even from people that have ventured into our apartment. They would say, "What, a pithole! Are you kidding me?" And I would say, "I know it is so cute and clean and well organized, but it is a PITHOLE!" Let me list the reasons why it is such:
1. The ENOURMOUS Spiders that wait outside our bedroom door, bathroom door, front door living room..To eat us alive!
2. Our ghetto WINDOW air conditioning unit that doesn't seal all of the way and has to be taped shut!! GHETTO!
3. The half painted rooms (Because our landlord got to tired to paint the entire wall)
4. Our Painted bath tub!
5. The 30 year old bright orange carpet that leads you to our front door!
6. The pamplet our landlord gave us on instructing us to NOT eat the LEAD paint!
7. The fact that we share a water heater with our neighbors! If we flush they lose all water pressure. If they flush we are struck by freezing ice cold water. (Thats especially fun at 6:30 in the morning, or when I am shaving my legs!)
8. That none of our doors shut due to the amount of paint on the walls!
9. The amount of DIRT (NOT DUST, WAYNE) that comes out of our vents when the heat kicks on.
And last but not least......Number 10....
That I have to turn off all of the lights in our tiny apartment to BLOW DRY MY HAIR!! And if I dont, then you will have the chance to see me run out into the hall in my garments to flip the breaker! (Yes folks... I have done that!)
There you have it people....My list of why I live in a PITHOLE!
And it would not be a pithole if we did not have the worst Landlord of all time. Sure he raises our rent but does he ever do anything to fix anything...Heck No!! So Thank You Wayne..Without you we would live like Kings!

School Day Blues!!

Welcome to the Brittney Pitty Party....
Well it is official!! I have the school day blues. I usually get them every semester about this time. The saddest part is...I'm not even a student. Morgan is in full school mode! He goes to work, school, work, back to school and then back to work. He comes home says hello, eats something and then it is off to the other room for homework. Last night he was up until five in the morning working on a project and then went into a sleep coma. I woke him up when I got home from church.
He told me today...I know that I am a crappy husband while I am in school, but there isn't a whole lot I can do about that.
So I feel like I am a lonely single person. I am trying to be super supportive...(Trying) being the key word here!
That is all I have to say about that! My poor husband. He is the one who deserves the pitty. But for right now...He is not invited to this pitty party. He will just have to have one himself!

I am sitting next to my husband while he continues his work on this project. Well he looked over and read what I was typing and then leaned over, kissed me on the cheek and said, "I Love You, I know this is crappy!" See I told you I was a terrible wife! He is the one doing all the work, I am complaining and he gives me sympathy! Dang... Props to Morgan James!!

My Detox Is Over!!

I am proud to announce that it has been 11 days 18 hours and 32 minutes since my last hit! Ok the exact time might have been exaggerated. The headaches are gone, I no longer have the craving I am on my road to recovery.
My drug of choice....

See I have gone without carbonation before for actually 3 years I never drank soda. And then one day I had a sip and then that turned into two sips. Then I had a whole can. Well just before I gave it up it was 32 oz almost every other day. More on the weekend. I knew it was out of my system for sure when I went to the good ol 7-11 to see my friend Happy. (7-11 Employee--Good Guy) I was there to get the husband a 32 oz. He is not ready to quit yet. Well I picked up the drink and headed home. I did not even take a sip! Did I have the desire to drink the entire thing...Heck Yes I did. But I resisted! I am so proud of myself! So my message is to anyone out there battling these addictions.... Its never too late to quit!
I dedicate this post to Happy...You may have lost my business but you have not lost our friendship!

Thoughts of 9-11

I was thinking a lot today about 9-11 today. I like everyone else can remember exactly what I did that day. I even remember what I wore that day (Seems Silly) but I remember everything about that day. My Aunt lives in New Jersey and in November of 01' two months after that terrible day Myself, Cousins Stormy and Nichole went back east to visit her and my other cousin Lacey. No one at that time was flying anywhere and so we were able to get our tickets for $100 round trip. We went to NYC for the day. This was not my first time to NYC. I had been there twice before. So I knew what those buildings had looked like. Well on that trip it was like a completely new city. It was so somber! These are my scrapbook pages of that trip.

I will never forget going to that City right after that had happened. So I just wanted to put my thoughts out there. I will never forget anything about that day!
